Privacy Policy
Plain English version: we collect what's needed to ship you a hardcover and run a business. We don't sell your data. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
What we collect
- Order information: name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone (optional), order history
- Payment information: handled entirely by Shopify Payments and your card issuer. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Browser / device: IP, browser type, pages viewed (standard analytics via Shopify + Google Analytics 4)
- Email subscription: if you opt in to our reading list, we keep your email and reading preferences
How we use it
- Process and ship your order
- Send order confirmation and shipping updates
- Respond to customer support requests
- Send monthly reading-list updates (only if you opted in)
- Comply with tax and legal requirements
What we don't do
- Sell or rent your data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising outside OfficialSaga's own monthly email
- Share your email with anyone other than our shipping carrier and email service provider
Your rights
- Access: request a copy of all data we have on you
- Correction: ask us to update incorrect data
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and order history (we retain order records for 7 years for tax compliance)
- Portability: request your data in machine-readable format
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from email at any time via the link in every email
