60-Day Actually Read It Money-Back Guarantee. If a book doesn't earn its shelf space, we refund. No need to ship it back. Donate it to a local library and we'll process the refund on the honor system.

How it works

  1. Order any OfficialSaga edition.
  2. Read at least the first 100 pages within 60 days of delivery.
  3. If it doesn't earn its shelf space, email support@officialsaga.com with your order number and a one-sentence note on what didn't land.
  4. We refund the full purchase price within 3 business days.
  5. Donate the book to a local library, school, or friend. No return shipping required.

Why we ask for 100 pages

Two reasons. First, Bourdain (and most writers worth keeping) doesn't show his hand in the first 30 pages. Kitchen Confidential takes 50 pages to find its rhythm; The Reader's most compelling material is distributed across the volume. A 30-page bounce gives you a flawed read. Second, it filters out frivolous refunds, which keeps our prices low and the guarantee genuinely available for buyers who give the book a fair shot.

What's covered

  • Hardcover damaged in transit (replacement, no return)
  • Hardcover with manufacturing defect (replacement, no return)
  • Buyer's-remorse refund after reading 100 pages within 60 days
  • Gift recipient who already owns the volume (exchange for store credit or refund within 60 days)

What's not covered

  • Refunds requested more than 60 days after delivery
  • Refunds without acknowledgment that a good-faith read occurred
  • Books returned damaged by the customer

  • Reason (one line is fine)
  • Whether you'd like a refund, store credit, or replacement
